The Tampa Bay Mitigation Bank (TBMB) provides pre-approved
mitigation opportunities to projects located in the Tampa Bay Basin (portions
of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, and Pasco Counties). Click here for
our Mitigation Service Area.
This is a cost-effective and convenient way to provide mitigation required
for your project. Please review the TBMB
project description which provides detailed information regarding
the methodology used to create the bank. The mitigation bank is highly
successful with nearly complete creation and restoration of freshwater,
oligohaline, and estuarine habitats. See
current photographs of the site. The Florida Audubon Society regularly
visits the mitigation bank to view the numerous local birds utilizing
the site.
